On March 21st, 2019, please support and sponsor Joshua Greer and the 2nd Annual 'Walkin’ In Memphis: Down Syndrome Awareness Walk!'  Joshua will be walking all day on World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) to help celebrate and raise awareness for Down Syndrome!  He will walk through the Memphis area formally stopping at 13 well-known Memphis attractions and sponsor locations, to take pictures with supporters and "raise" the global symbol for down syndrome, the butterfly, at each location. All proceeds will benefit the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis & the Midsouth, so that it may expand in its mission to offer free social and educational events and services to families of Down syndrome children, their families, and those who are self-advocates.

Josh will start walking at the crack of dawn at the Big River Crossing bridge (the old bridge), with events at each stop (more to come and let me know if you would like to sponsor a stop!). The fundraiser walk will end in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day with a candlelight vigil at Tom Lee Park, near Beale Street Landing. The public is invited to the vigil, which will begin at 6:00pm to watch the Harahan Bridge, also known as the Big River Crossing, get lit up in blue and yellow for World Down Syndrome Day !!! The final group picture of the day with the butterfly symbol will certainly be a memorable one, so come one and all! The more the merrier and be sure to wear your Walkin' In Memphis for World Down Syndrome Day tshirts (2019 shirts coming soon!). If you would like to support Joshua, please donate, like and share his website or social media page  and come by one of the 13 official stops to root him on, take pictures and celebrate Down syndrome awareness together!
